Ruth Van Killegem was a renowned classical music artist who made a significant contribution to the world of music. She was born on 12th June 1950 in Brussels, Belgium. Her parents were both musicians, and they encouraged her to pursue music from a young age. Ruth showed a keen interest in music and started playing the piano when she was just five years old. Ruth's parents recognized her talent and enrolled her in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels when she was eight years old. She studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Jean Absil. Ruth's talent and dedication to music were evident from a young age, and she quickly became one of the most promising students at the conservatory. Ruth's hard work and dedication paid off when she won the first prize in the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in 1968. This was a significant achievement for Ruth, and it opened up many doors for her in the world of music. She was invited to perform at various concerts and events, and her reputation as a talented pianist grew rapidly. In 1970, Ruth was invited to perform at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
