Born in Toulouse, France in 1985, Cazal showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began studying with renowned piano teachers in France and abroad. Cazal's musical education began at the Conservatoire de Toulouse, where he studied with pianist and composer Jean-François Zygel. He later continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied with pianist and pedagogue Michel Beroff. During his time in Paris, Cazal also had the opportunity to work with other notable musicians, including pianist Maria João Pires and conductor Pierre Boulez. Cazal's early performances were marked by his technical proficiency and musical sensitivity. He quickly gained a reputation as a rising star in the classical music world, and began performing in major concert halls throughout Europe and Asia. In 2007, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition of Lyon, which further cemented his status as a rising talent in the classical music world. Over the years, Cazal has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Myung-Whun Chung, Emmanuel Krivine, and Daniele Gatti. One of Cazal's most notable performances was his 2010 debut at the prestigious Salzburg Festival, where he performed a solo recital to critical acclaim. The following year, he made his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic, where he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle.
