Lennox's musical career began in the late 1970s when she joined the band The Tourists. The band had several hits in the UK, including "I Only Want to Be with You" and "So Good to Be Back Home Again." In 1980, Lennox and her Tourists bandmate Dave Stewart formed the duo Eurythmics. In the 1990s, Walsh began working with director Peter Jackson on his films. She co-wrote the screenplays for "Heavenly Creatures" (1994), "The Frighteners" (1996), and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy (2001-2003). Walsh also served as a producer on these films and won three Academy Awards for her work on "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" (2003). In the 1980s, Shore began working with director David Cronenberg and composed the scores for several of his films, including "The Fly" (1986) and "Dead Ringers" (1988). Shore's breakthrough came in 2001 when he composed the score for "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. His work on the films earned him three Academy Awards and a Grammy Award. Shore's other notable film scores include "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991), "Philadelphia" (1993), and "Gangs of New York" (2002). In addition to his work in film, Shore has composed several concert works, including a piano concerto and an opera.
