Artist Info

Marco Caria is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for himself in the world of opera. Born in Italy, Caria grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a young age. His father was a conductor and his mother was a singer, so it was only natural that Caria would follow in their footsteps. Caria began his musical training at the age of six, studying piano and singing. He quickly showed a talent for both and began performing in local concerts and recitals. As he grew older, Caria became more interested in opera and began studying voice with some of the best teachers in Italy. In 1998, Caria made his professional debut in the role of Figaro in Rossini's "The Barber of Seville" at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. The performance was a huge success and launched Caria's career as an opera singer. He went on to perform in many other operas, including "Don Giovanni," "The Marriage of Figaro," and "Carmen." Caria's performances were praised for their emotional depth and technical skill. He had a powerful voice that could fill a theater, but he also had a sensitivity and nuance that made his performances truly special. He quickly became one of the most sought-after opera singers in Italy and began performing in other countries as well. In 2004, Caria won the prestigious Pavarotti International Voice Competition, which cemented his status as one of the best opera singers of his generation. The competition was held in Modena, Italy, and Caria's performance of "Largo al factotum" from "The Barber of Seville" was a highlight of the event. Over the years, Caria has performed in many of the world's most famous opera houses, including La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He has also worked with some of the best conductors and directors in the business, including Riccardo Muti, Daniel Barenboim, and Franco Zeffirelli. One of Caria's most memorable performances was in the role of Don Giovanni at the Salzburg Festival in 2011. The production was directed by Claus Guth and was praised for its innovative staging and powerful performances. Caria's portrayal of the infamous seducer was both charismatic and chilling, and his singing was praised for its beauty and intensity. In addition to his work in opera, Caria has also performed in concerts and recitals. He has a wide repertoire that includes works by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, and many other composers. He has also recorded several albums, including a collection of Italian songs and a recording of Mozart's "Don Giovanni." Throughout his career, Caria has received many awards and honors for his contributions to classical music. In addition to the Pavarotti International Voice Competition, he has won the Viotti International Music Competition, the Tito Schipa International Competition, and the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation Award. He has also been awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Despite his many accomplishments, Caria remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform and record, and he is always looking for new ways to challenge himself and grow as an artist. His passion for music is evident in every performance, and he is truly one of the greats of classical music.
