Role:EnsembleEnsamble Tres is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2008 in Mexico City. The group is known for its unique blend of traditional Mexican music and classical music, which has earned them critical acclaim and a loyal following. The founding members of Ensamble Tres are violinist Daniel Medina, cellist Carlos Prieto, and pianist Jorge Federico Osorio. All three musicians are highly accomplished in their respective fields, with Medina and Prieto having performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, and Osorio being a recipient of the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Ensamble Tres's first major performance was in 2009 at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, where they performed a program of works by Mexican composers. The concert was a critical and commercial success, and helped to establish the group as one of the most exciting new ensembles in the classical music world. Since then, Ensamble Tres has gone on to perform at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. They have also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned musicians, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and conductor Gustavo Dudamel. One of Ensamble Tres's most notable performances was at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where they performed a program of Mexican music as part of the cultural events surrounding the games. The performance was broadcast to millions of viewers around the world, and helped to introduce Ensamble Tres to a wider audience. Ensamble Tres has also been the recipient of numerous awards and honors throughout their career. In 2010, they were awarded the National Arts and Sciences Prize in Mexico, and in 2012 they were named Cultural Ambassadors of Mexico by the Mexican government. They have also been recognized for their contributions to music education, and have been involved in numerous outreach programs aimed at introducing classical music to young people. Despite their success, Ensamble Tres remains committed to their mission of promoting Mexican music and culture through classical music. They continue to perform regularly around the world, and are widely regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative ensembles in the classical music world today.More....
