From a young age, Eggleston showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Eggleston's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She began taking private lessons with renowned violinists and attended the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division. At the age of 16, Eggleston was accepted into the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she studied with the legendary violinist, Jaime Laredo. During her time at Curtis, Eggleston won several awards and competitions, including the Philadelphia Orchestra's Albert M. Greenfield Competition and the Aspen Music Festival's Violin Concerto Competition. She also performed as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Aspen Festival Orchestra. After graduating from Curtis, Eggleston continued her studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where she earned a Master of Music degree. She also studied with the renowned violinist, Miriam Fried, and performed in masterclasses with Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman. Eggleston's career as a soloist and chamber musician took off after she won the prestigious Naumburg International Violin Competition in 2010. The competition, which is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world, has launched the careers of many of today's top musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma and Murray Perahia. As the winner of the Naumburg Competition, Eggleston was awarded a solo recital at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, as well as a recording contract with the Naxos label. Her debut album, featuring works by Bach, Ysaÿe, and Bartók, was released to critical acclaim in 2012. Eggleston has since performed as a soloist with many of the world's top orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a frequent guest artist at major music festivals, including the Marlboro Music Festival, the Ravinia Festival, and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. In addition to her solo career, Eggleston is also an active chamber musician. She has performed with many of the world's top chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet, the Guarneri Quartet, and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
