Estelle Lemire was born on May 12, 1985, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a violinist. From a young age, Estelle showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. As she grew older, Estelle became more interested in classical music and began studying the violin. She quickly excelled at the instrument and began performing in local orchestras and ensembles. Her talent was recognized by her teachers and peers, and she was encouraged to pursue a career in music. After completing her high school education, Estelle enrolled in the music program at McGill University in Montreal. There, she studied under some of the most renowned violinists in the world and honed her skills as a musician. She also began performing in more prestigious venues, including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa. In 2007, Estelle graduated from McGill with a Bachelor of Music degree and immediately began pursuing a career as a professional musician. She joined the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal as a first violinist and quickly became known for her technical skill and musicality. Over the next few years, Estelle continued to perform with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and other ensembles, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. She also began to receive recognition for her talent, winning several awards and competitions, including the prestigious Prix d'Europe in 2011. In 2013, Estelle was invited to perform as a soloist with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, marking a major milestone in her career. She performed the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch to critical acclaim, with reviewers praising her technical skill and emotional depth. Following her successful solo performance, Estelle began to receive more invitations to perform as a soloist with other orchestras. She also began to record her own music, releasing her debut album, "Estelle Lemire: Violinist," in 2015. The album featured a selection of classical pieces, including works by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms. In addition to her performing and recording career, Estelle is also a dedicated music educator. She has taught violin at McGill University and the Université de Montréal, and has also given masterclasses and workshops around the world. Today, Estelle Lemire is considered one of the most talented and accomplished classical musicians of her generation. She continues to perform and record music, and is dedicated to sharing her love of music with others through her teaching and outreach work.
