Adele began taking piano lessons at the age of six, and she quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She also began singing and dancing, and she and Fred would often perform together at local events. In 1905, the Austerlitz family moved to New York City, where Adele and Fred continued to pursue their musical and dance careers. They began performing in vaudeville shows and quickly gained a reputation for their talent and charisma. In 1917, they made their Broadway debut in the musical "Over the Top," which was a huge success.
