Jorge Robaina is a renowned classical guitarist and composer who has made significant contributions to the world of classical music. Born on December 12, 1966, in Havana, Cuba, Robaina grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a guitarist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Robaina showed a keen interest in music and began playing the guitar at the age of six. Robaina's early musical education was under the tutelage of his father, who taught him the basics of guitar playing. He later went on to study at the National School of Music in Havana, where he received formal training in classical guitar. During his time at the school, Robaina was exposed to a wide range of musical styles, including classical, jazz, and traditional Cuban music. After completing his studies, Robaina began performing professionally as a soloist and as part of various ensembles.
