Born on May 15, 1975, in London, England, Powell showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Powell's musical journey began when he enrolled in the Royal Academy of Music in London at the age of 18. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires, who recognized his talent and helped him hone his skills. Powell's dedication and hard work paid off when he graduated with honors from the academy. After completing his studies, Powell began performing in various concerts and recitals across Europe.
