Millennial Choirs & Orchestras (MCO) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 by Dr. Brett Stewart. The organization is dedicated to providing young musicians with the opportunity to perform classical music at the highest level possible. MCO has grown rapidly since its inception and now has over 5,000 members in 15 different locations across the United States. Dr. Brett Stewart, the founder of MCO, is a renowned conductor and composer. He has a doctorate in choral conducting from Arizona State University and has conducted choirs and orchestras all over the world. Dr. Stewart founded MCO with the goal of creating a world-class organization that would provide young musicians with the opportunity to perform classical music at the highest level possible. MCO's first performance was in 2008, and it was an immediate success. The choir and orchestra performed Handel's Messiah to a sold-out audience, and the performance was met with rave reviews. Since then, MCO has performed a wide variety of classical music, including works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and many others. One of the highlights of MCO's history was their performance at Carnegie Hall in 2014. The choir and orchestra performed Mozart's Requiem to a packed house, and the performance was met with a standing ovation. This performance was a major milestone for MCO, and it helped to establish the organization as one of the premier classical music groups in the United States.
