Sarah Schuster Ericsson was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Sarah showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Sarah's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music seriously. She began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and teacher, Maria João Pires, at the age of six. Under Pires' guidance, Sarah developed a deep understanding and appreciation for classical music. At the age of 12, Sarah made her debut performance at Carnegie Hall, playing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major with the New York Philharmonic. The performance was a huge success, and Sarah received critical acclaim for her technical skill and musicality.
