He was born into a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional classical musicians. His father was a renowned pianist, and his mother was a violinist. From a young age, Lorenzo was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Lorenzo's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. By the age of ten, Lorenzo was already performing in public, and his talent was evident to all who heard him play. In 1997, Lorenzo was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Carlo Bruno. During his time at the conservatory, Lorenzo honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After graduating from the conservatory, Lorenzo began performing professionally, and his career quickly took off. In 2008, Lorenzo won the prestigious International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
