Maarja Purga is a renowned classical music artist from Estonia. She was born on August 6, 1984, in Tallinn, Estonia. From a young age, Maarja showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Maarja's musical education began at the Tallinn Music High School, where she studied piano and music theory. She then went on to study at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she received a Bachelor's degree in piano performance. During her studies, Maarja also participated in various masterclasses and workshops with renowned pianists such as Boris Berman, Paul Badura-Skoda, and Andrzej Jasinski. After completing her studies, Maarja began performing as a soloist and chamber musician in Estonia and abroad. She has performed in various prestigious venues such as the Estonia Concert Hall, the Finnish National Opera, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Maarja has also collaborated with numerous orchestras, including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.
