Gramercy Trio is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2002. The group is composed of three members: violinist Sharan Leventhal, cellist Jonathan Miller, and pianist Randall Hodgkinson. Miller has also been a member of several other ensembles, including the Boston Trio and the Lydian String Quartet. In addition to his performance career, Miller is also a sought-after teacher, serving on the faculty of the Longy School of Music and the New England Conservatory. Randall Hodgkinson, the group's pianist, is known for his virtuosic playing and deep musicality. He has performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony and the London Philharmonic. Hodgkinson has also been a member of several other ensembles, including the Muir String Quartet and the Boston Chamber Music Society. In addition to his performance career, Hodgkinson is also a dedicated teacher, serving on the faculty of the New England Conservatory. The Gramercy Trio was founded in 2002, when Leventhal, Miller, and Hodgkinson came together to perform a concert at the Boston Conservatory.
