Born on January 15, 1975, in Bruges, Belgium, Jan showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Jan's musical journey began when he enrolled in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at the age of 18. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Daniel Blumenthal, and graduated with a degree in piano performance. During his time at the conservatory, Jan also studied composition and conducting, which helped him develop a well-rounded understanding of music. After completing his studies, Jan began performing in various concerts and recitals across Europe. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and was invited to perform at several prestigious venues, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Jan's performances were characterized by his technical proficiency, musical sensitivity, and emotional depth.
