He was the son of a music teacher and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. From a young age, Noli showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He was a prodigious talent and quickly developed a reputation as a gifted musician. Noli's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began studying at the Milan Conservatory at the age of ten and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young musicians in Italy. He studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in the country and honed his skills as a pianist. In 1968, Noli won the prestigious Busoni International Piano Competition, which was held in Bolzano, Italy. This was a major turning point in his career and brought him international recognition as a pianist. He went on to win several other competitions, including the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1973 and the Leeds International Piano Competition in 1975. Noli's success in these competitions led to a series of major performances around the world.
