Claus Myrup was born on May 12, 1985, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Claus showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Claus received his formal music education at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he studied under the tutelage of some of the most prominent classical musicians in Denmark. He graduated with honors in 2007 and went on to pursue a career as a concert pianist. Claus made his debut performance at the age of 18, playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was a resounding success, and Claus was hailed as a rising star in the classical music world. Over the years, Claus has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
