Born on October 22, 1984, in Bucharest, Romania, Radutu showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents, both music teachers, recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Radutu's early musical education was at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where she studied with renowned pianist and pedagogue Viniciu Moroianu. She then went on to study at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance under the guidance of professors Stefan Vladar and Martin Hughes. Radutu's talent and dedication to her craft quickly became evident, and she began to receive recognition for her performances. In 2005, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Bucharest, and in 2006, she was awarded the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship. She has also been a finalist and prize-winner at numerous other international competitions, including the Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona and the International Piano Competition in San Marino. Radutu's career as a concert pianist has taken her to some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonic, and Carnegie Hall in New York. She has performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, and the Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra. One of Radutu's most notable performances was her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2010, where she performed a program of works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. The New York Times praised her performance, saying that "Ms. Radutu played with a sense of authority and a depth of feeling that belied her youth." Radutu is also a passionate chamber musician and has collaborated with many of the world's leading musicians, including violinist Julian Rachlin, cellist Mischa Maisky, and clarinetist Sabine Meyer. She is a founding member of the Vienna-based Trio Artio, which has performed extensively throughout Europe and Asia. In addition to her performing career, Radutu is also a dedicated teacher and has given masterclasses at universities and music schools around the world. She is currently a professor of piano at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. Radutu's repertoire is vast and includes works from the Baroque to the contemporary period.
