Edward Klorman is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born in New York City in 1979 and grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a pianist, and his mother was a violinist, so he was exposed to music from a very young age. Klorman began his musical education at the age of four when he started playing the violin. However, he soon switched to the viola, which became his primary instrument. He attended the Juilliard School, where he studied with Karen Tuttle, a renowned violist. He later went on to earn a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Klorman's career as a musician began in earnest when he joined the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in 2006. He has since performed with the society in numerous concerts and has become one of its most prominent members. He has also performed with other prestigious ensembles, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. One of Klorman's most significant achievements was his performance of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major, K. 364, with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in 2010. The performance was highly acclaimed, and Klorman's virtuosity on the viola was widely praised. He has also performed as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. In addition to his work as a performer, Klorman is also a respected music educator. He has taught at the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. He is currently a professor of music at the University of North Texas. Klorman has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career. In 2005, he was awarded the William Primrose Memorial Scholarship, which is given to outstanding violists. He was also a finalist in the 2006 Naumburg Viola Competition. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to exceptional young musicians. Klorman's contributions to the world of classical music have been significant, and he continues to be a prominent figure in the industry. His virtuosity on the viola, his dedication to music education, and his numerous awards and honors have made him one of the most respected musicians of his generation.
