Born in London, England, on October 16, 1949, Orlanda showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents were both music lovers, and they encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Orlanda's talent was evident from an early age, and she quickly became a skilled pianist. She attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and composer, John McCabe.
