Armonia Ensemble is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 in Madrid, Spain. The ensemble is known for its unique blend of classical and contemporary music, and its ability to captivate audiences with its dynamic performances. The founding members of Armonia Ensemble were four young musicians who shared a passion for classical music and a desire to create something new and exciting. The members were Pablo Ferrández (cello), David Apellániz (double bass), Daniel del Pino (piano), and Leticia Moreno (violin). Each member brought their own unique talents and experiences to the group, and together they formed a powerful and dynamic ensemble. From the beginning, Armonia Ensemble set out to explore new and innovative ways of presenting classical music. They were not content to simply perform the standard repertoire, but instead sought to push the boundaries of what was possible with classical music. They began by experimenting with different arrangements and interpretations of classical pieces, and soon began incorporating contemporary music into their performances. One of the highlights of Armonia Ensemble's early career was their performance at the 2006 Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada. The ensemble received critical acclaim for their performance of works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Shostakovich, as well as their innovative interpretation of Astor Piazzolla's "Libertango". The performance was a turning point for the ensemble, and helped to establish them as one of the most exciting and innovative classical music ensembles in Spain. Over the years, Armonia Ensemble has continued to push the boundaries of classical music, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, and world music into their performances. They have collaborated with a wide range of artists, including flamenco dancers, jazz musicians, and visual artists, and have performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals around the world. One of the most memorable performances in Armonia Ensemble's history was their collaboration with flamenco dancer Sara Baras in 2010. The ensemble performed a series of pieces that blended classical music with flamenco rhythms and dance, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience for the audience. The performance was a huge success, and helped to cement Armonia Ensemble's reputation as one of the most innovative and exciting classical music ensembles in the world. In addition to their performances, Armonia Ensemble has also received numerous awards and accolades over the years. In 2008, they were awarded the Premio Nacional de Música, one of the most prestigious awards in the Spanish music industry. The award recognized the ensemble's contributions to the world of classical music, and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of the genre. Armonia Ensemble has also been recognized for their recordings, which have received critical acclaim and numerous awards. Their 2012 album "Tango Nuevo" was a particular highlight, featuring innovative arrangements of works by Astor Piazzolla and other tango composers. The album received widespread praise for its creativity and originality, and helped to establish Armonia Ensemble as one of the most exciting and innovative classical music ensembles of their generation. Today, Armonia Ensemble continues to push the boundaries of classical music, exploring new and innovative ways of presenting the genre to audiences around the world.
