Biliana Tzinlikova is a Bulgarian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a pianist, chamber musician, and educator. Born on May 22, 1979, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Tzinlikova showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. She was enrolled in the National School of Music "Lubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Julia Ganeva. Tzinlikova's talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and she quickly rose through the ranks of the Bulgarian music scene. In 1995, she won first prize at the National Competition for Young Musicians in Bulgaria, and in 1997, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Competition for Young Musicians in Belgrade, Serbia. After completing her studies at the National School of Music, Tzinlikova went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia. She continued her education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria, where she earned a Master's degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Professor Noel Flores. Tzinlikova's career as a professional musician began in earnest in the early 2000s, when she began performing extensively throughout Europe and Asia. She has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. One of the highlights of Tzinlikova's career came in 2005, when she was invited to perform at the prestigious Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj, Poland. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, and she was invited back to the festival in 2006 and 2007. In addition to her work as a soloist, Tzinlikova is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has collaborated with some of the world's leading musicians, including violinist Midori Goto, cellist David Geringas, and clarinetist Sharon Kam. Together with violinist Vesko Eschkenazy, she formed the Tzinlikova-Eschkenazy Duo, which has performed extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Tzinlikova is also a dedicated educator, and has taught at several prestigious institutions, including the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, and the Tokyo College of Music. She has also given masterclasses and workshops in Bulgaria, Austria, Japan, and the United States. Throughout her career, Tzinlikova has received numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to the world of classical music. In 2003, she was awarded the "Young Musician of the Year" award by the Bulgarian National Radio. In 2007, she was awarded the "Musician of the Year" award by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture. In 2010, she was awarded the "Golden Lyre" award by the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers. Despite her many accomplishments, Tzinlikova remains humble and dedicated to her craft.
