Jassen Todorov is a Bulgarian-American violinist, conductor, and professor of music. He was born on October 23, 1974, in Varna, Bulgaria, to a family of musicians. His father was a violinist and his mother was a pianist. Todorov began playing the violin at the age of five and showed exceptional talent from an early age. Todorov's family moved to the United States when he was 13 years old, and he continued his musical education at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He later earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he studied with renowned violinist and pedagogue Miriam Fried. Todorov went on to earn a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied with James Buswell. Todorov has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in major concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
