Jeanne Crousaud is a French classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Born in 1994 in Paris, France, Crousaud began playing the piano at the age of six and quickly showed a natural aptitude for the instrument. She went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Crousaud's musical career began to take off in 2012 when she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Lagny-sur-Marne, France. This was followed by a series of other awards and honors, including the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship in 2013 and the Prix de la Fondation Safran pour la Musique in 2014. In 2015, Crousaud made her debut at the prestigious Festival International de Piano de La Roque d'Anthéron, where she performed a program of works by Chopin, Liszt, and Ravel to critical acclaim. This performance helped to establish her as one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. Since then, Crousaud has performed at some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, and the Wigmore Hall in London. She has also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. One of Crousaud's most notable performances was her debut with the Orchestre National de France in 2017, where she performed Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major under the baton of conductor Emmanuel Krivine. The performance was hailed as a triumph, with critics praising Crousaud's technical mastery and musical sensitivity. Crousaud's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by composers from the Baroque era to the present day. She has a particular affinity for the music of Chopin, Liszt, and Ravel, and has recorded several albums of their works. Her recordings have received critical acclaim and have been praised for their clarity, precision, and emotional depth. In addition to her performing career, Crousaud is also a dedicated teacher and has given masterclasses at several institutions, including the Royal College of Music in London and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with the next generation of musicians and is committed to promoting classical music to a wider audience.
