Henriette's father recognized her talent and started giving her piano lessons. She quickly became a prodigy and started performing in public at the age of nine. Her first public performance was at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, where she played a piano concerto by Mozart. Henriette continued to study music under her father's guidance and also took lessons from other renowned musicians of the time.
