From a young age, de Chassy was exposed to a wide range of musical styles, and he quickly developed a passion for the piano. De Chassy began his formal musical training at the age of six, studying classical piano with his mother. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument, and by the age of ten, he was performing in public. In 1985, de Chassy was accepted into the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied under the renowned pianist and composer Yvonne Loriod. During his time at the conservatory, de Chassy honed his skills as a pianist and composer, and he began to develop his own unique style. He was particularly drawn to the music of the Romantic era, and he was heavily influenced by the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Schumann. After graduating from the conservatory in 1990, de Chassy began to establish himself as a professional musician. Over the next few years, de Chassy continued to build his career, performing at major venues and festivals throughout Europe. In 1996, he was awarded the prestigious Prix de la Fondation de France, which recognized his contributions to the world of classical music. He also began to collaborate with other musicians, including the jazz saxophonist David Liebman and the classical violinist Renaud Capuçon. In 2000, de Chassy released his second album, "Piano Solo," which showcased his skills as a composer as well as a pianist.
