Role:ComposerGeorg Breinschmid is a renowned Austrian double bass player, composer, and arranger. He was born on January 27, 1973, in Vienna, Austria. Breinschmid grew up in a musical family, and his father was a professional double bass player. He started playing the double bass at the age of six and received his first lessons from his father. Breinschmid attended the Vienna Music University, where he studied classical double bass with Josef Niederhammer and jazz with Wayne Darling. Breinschmid's career as a professional musician began in the early 1990s when he joined the Vienna Art Orchestra, a renowned jazz ensemble. He played with the orchestra for several years and gained valuable experience performing with some of the best jazz musicians in Europe. In 1997, Breinschmid joined the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world's most prestigious orchestras. He played with the orchestra for over a decade and performed in some of the most famous concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Musikverein in Vienna. Breinschmid's talent as a composer and arranger was recognized early in his career. In 1995, he won the Hans Koller Prize, Austria's most prestigious jazz award, for his composition "The Third Man." He went on to win the award again in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, Breinschmid released his first album as a bandleader, "Brein's World," which featured his original compositions and arrangements. The album received critical acclaim and established Breinschmid as a rising star in the jazz world. In addition to his work as a jazz musician, Breinschmid has also made a name for himself as a classical musician.
