Nachum Erlich was born on May 15, 1978, in Tel Aviv, Israel. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Erlich showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Erlich's parents recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of six. By the time he was a teenager, Erlich had already performed in numerous concerts and recitals, gaining recognition for his exceptional talent. In 1996, Erlich was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. During his time at Juilliard, Erlich honed his skills and developed a unique style that blended classical and contemporary influences. After graduating from Juilliard in 2000, Erlich embarked on a successful career as a concert pianist, performing in some of the world's most prestigious venues. He quickly gained a reputation for his virtuosic playing and his ability to connect with audiences on an emotional level. He has a particular affinity for the works of Chopin, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff, and has performed their compositions to critical acclaim.
