Trio Fauré is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1991 in Paris, France. The ensemble is named after the French composer Gabriel Fauré, who is known for his contributions to the late Romantic and early modern periods of classical music. The founding members of Trio Fauré were pianist Pascal Rogé, violinist Jean-Jacques Kantorow, and cellist Philippe Muller. All three musicians were accomplished soloists in their own right, but they came together to form the ensemble with the goal of exploring the chamber music repertoire and performing together as a cohesive unit. Since its founding, Trio Fauré has become one of the most respected and sought-after chamber music ensembles in the world.
