Over the next few years, Alberto continued to compose music, including several chamber works and a piano concerto. In 1957, Alberto composed his most famous work, the opera "Mrika." The opera tells the story of a young Albanian girl who is forced to marry against her will. The opera was a critical and commercial success and is still performed today. "Mrika" is considered one of the most important works in Albanian classical music and is a testament to Alberto's talent as a composer. Throughout his career, Alberto composed music in a variety of genres, including symphonies, operas, chamber music, and choral works.
