Born on May 22, 1974, in Brussels, Belgium, Wéry showed an early aptitude for music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he received his diploma in piano performance with distinction in 1996. Wéry's talent as a pianist was evident from an early age, and he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most promising young musicians in Belgium. He won several prestigious awards and competitions, including the First Prize at the International Piano Competition of Ettlingen in Germany in 1995, and the First Prize at the International Piano Competition of Epinal in France in 1996.
