Michiel Niessen is a Dutch classical pianist and composer who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and innovative compositions. Born on May 12, 1987, in Amsterdam, Niessen showed an early aptitude for music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with renowned pianists in the Netherlands. Niessen's musical education continued at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he studied under the tutelage of Jan Wijn and Naum Grubert. During his time at the conservatory, Niessen won several awards and competitions, including the prestigious Steinway Piano Competition and the Princess Christina Competition.
