Iurii Samoilov is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on August 15, 1975, in Moscow, Russia, Samoilov showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Samoilov's musical education began at the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Tatiana Zelikman. He later continued his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Throughout his career, Samoilov has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many renowned conductors and orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. One of Samoilov's most notable performances was his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2005, where he performed a solo recital to critical acclaim. The New York Times praised his "virtuosic technique and musical sensitivity," and his performance was hailed as one of the highlights of the season. Samoilov has also won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In 1999, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain, and in 2001, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland. He has also been a finalist in several other prestigious competitions, including the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas.
