The piece has become a staple of the guitar repertoire and has been performed by many of the world's leading guitarists. Tisserand's other notable works include "Le Tombeau de Ravel," a tribute to the French composer Maurice Ravel, and "Le Jardin des Dames," a suite for guitar and orchestra that was commissioned by the Orchestre National de Lyon. Tisserand has also written music for film and television, including the score for the French film "Le Fils de Gascogne."
