He was the son of a musician and began his musical training at a young age. Savio showed a natural talent for the guitar and quickly became a virtuoso player. Savio's early career was spent performing in Italy and other parts of Europe. He gained a reputation as one of the finest guitarists of his time and was known for his technical skill and musicality. In 1910, he was invited to perform in South America, where he quickly became a sensation. He toured extensively throughout the continent, performing in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. In 1914, Savio returned to Italy and began composing his own music. He was heavily influenced by the music of his native country and incorporated elements of Italian folk music into his compositions. His music was well-received and he quickly gained a following. During World War I, Savio served in the Italian army. He continued to play and compose music during his service, and his music became a source of comfort for his fellow soldiers. After the war, he resumed his career as a performer and composer. In 1924, Savio was invited to perform in the United States. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City and was an instant success. He went on to tour the country, performing in major cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. His performances were praised by critics and audiences alike, and he became one of the most popular classical guitarists in the United States. Savio continued to compose music throughout his career.
