Artist Info
Chaarts Chamber Artists is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Germany and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances. The founding members of Chaarts Chamber Artists were violinist Christoph Henschel, violist Andreas Willwohl, cellist Xenia Jankovic, and pianist Oliver Triendl. All four musicians had already established themselves as soloists and chamber musicians before coming together to form the ensemble. From the beginning, Chaarts Chamber Artists set out to explore the rich repertoire of chamber music, from the classical period to contemporary works. The ensemble's name is a combination of the words "chamber" and "arts," reflecting its commitment to both the traditional and the avant-garde. Over the years, Chaarts Chamber Artists has expanded its membership to include other talented musicians, but the core group of Henschel, Willwohl, Jankovic, and Triendl remains at the heart of the ensemble. One of the highlights of Chaarts Chamber Artists' early career was its debut performance at the Rheingau Music Festival in 2006. The ensemble received critical acclaim for its interpretation of works by Mozart, Brahms, and Schumann. Since then, Chaarts Chamber Artists has performed at major music festivals and concert halls around the world, including the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin Philharmonic, and Carnegie Hall in New York City. The ensemble has collaborated with renowned soloists such as violinist Midori and pianist Lars Vogt. In addition to its live performances, Chaarts Chamber Artists has released several recordings, including a critically acclaimed album of works by Brahms and Schumann. The ensemble has also been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2010, Chaarts Chamber Artists received the Echo Klassik award for its recording of Brahms and Schumann. The ensemble has also been awarded the German Record Critics' Award and the Diapason d'Or. Despite its success, Chaarts Chamber Artists remains committed to its mission of exploring the full range of chamber music repertoire and bringing new and innovative interpretations to audiences around the world.More....
