Tiago Batista is a classical music artist who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1985, Tiago showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Tiago's early years were spent studying music at the National Conservatory of Lisbon, where he received a solid foundation in music theory and performance. He also began to develop his skills as a composer, writing his first pieces at the age of 12. As a teenager, Tiago began to gain recognition for his talent as a pianist, winning several competitions and performing in concerts throughout Portugal. He also began to study with some of the top pianists in the world, including Maria João Pires and Vladimir Ashkenazy. In 2004, Tiago moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music, where he continued to hone his skills as a pianist and composer. During his time at the academy, he won several awards and performed in numerous concerts, both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Tiago began to establish himself as a professional musician, performing in concerts throughout Europe and Asia. He also began to record his music, releasing his first album, "Piano Works," in 2010. Tiago's music is characterized by its emotional depth and technical virtuosity. His compositions are often inspired by his Portuguese heritage, incorporating elements of fado and other traditional Portuguese music into his work. One of the highlights of Tiago's career came in 2012, when he was invited to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms. The Proms is an annual series of concerts that is broadcast on the BBC and is one of the most prestigious classical music events in the world. Tiago's performance was widely praised, and he was hailed as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. In addition to his work as a performer and composer, Tiago is also a dedicated teacher. He has taught at several music schools and conservatories throughout Europe and Asia, and has worked with students of all ages and skill levels. Tiago has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including the prestigious Young Artist Award from the Royal Philharmonic Society in 2013. He has also been featured in several major music publications, including Gramophone and International Piano. Despite his success, Tiago remains humble and dedicated to his craft.
