The quartet is made up of violinists Emilie-Anne Gendron and Alex Shiozaki, violist Stephanie Griffin, and cellist Michael Haas. They are known for their commitment to contemporary music, as well as their interpretations of classical repertoire. The quartet was formed in New York City by four musicians who were all pursuing their graduate studies at the Juilliard School. They quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the classical music world, and have since gone on to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States and abroad. One of the highlights of Momenta Quartet's career was their performance at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. in 2010.
