Lisa R. Coons is a contemporary classical music composer who has made a name for herself in the world of music. Born in 1975 in the United States, Coons showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Coons attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree in composition. One of Coons' most notable works is her Symphony No. 1, which was commissioned by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
